Yard Assistant

We are hiring a Yard Assistant. The successful Candidate will maintain the general up-keep of the yard, wash down plant and equipment & carry out deliveries and collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Keeping the yard organised and tidy.
• Cleaning down hire equipment ready for re-hire.
• Refuelling plant and equipment.
• Loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Delivering & collecting plant and equipment.
• Ensuring the yard is kept in an orderly and safe manner with attention to Health & Safety of customers and staff.

Skills and Experience

• Full UK driving licence – preferably clean Licence.
• Forklift experience preferred however training will be given where required.
• Knowledge of plant and equipment is beneficial however training will be provided.
• Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
• Good communicator and team player.
• Organised and methodical.
