The RSPB is the largest nature conservation charity in the UK, inspiring everyone to give nature a home. Since we started on our mission in 1889, the threats to nature have continued to grow, but we’ve grown to meet them too.

RSPB Orkney welcomes visitors to 12 reserves across the islands, which are home to important populations of some spectacular wildlife. They include magnificent sea-cliffs filled with bustling colonies of guillemots, kittiwakes and razorbills, wondrous wetlands packed with wildflowers and waders, and tranquil heather moorlands that are home to breeding hen harriers and red-throated divers.

We are passionate about nature and manage our reserves to provide the environment and conditions for wildlife to flourish. We run events throughout the year to help you get closer to some of the magnificent wildlife and wild places.
