Saltfishforty join the hugely talented Devon Sproule - a brilliant songwriter and a great live performer. Originally from Canada, she has toured all over the world, and turned heads with superb performances such as on Later with Jools Holland.
We are excited to announce that Saltfishforty will be playing tunes from their forthcoming album 'bere' - giving Orkney audiences a taster of their new material prior to it's national release on 21 April.

Devon Sproule is a Canadian/American musician living in rural Virginia, raised on eco-villages near Kingston, Ontario and Louisa, Virginia. The 34-year-old, in addition to being a musician, is a high school drop-out, a birder, doula, and a student of Deaf Culture and sign language. She has worked hard on records later liked by Village Voice, New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Observer, Guardian, Mojo, Uncut, Paste. Collaborated with Kenyan musicians in Nairobi. Awarded Sammy Kahn award at Lincoln Center for excellence in lyric writing. Toured the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Played for four old ladies in the orthopedic ward of University Hospital in Coventry. Walked in on Kate Moss in the girls' bathroom at Later…With Jools Holland. Saw Manitoba from a Cessna. She has been married to producer Paul Curreri for 11 years.
Her new album 'The Gold String' will be released on Tin Angel Records in spring 2017.
