Discover the harp in Kirkwall this year with visiting musicians from the Derwent Harp School.

Along with the school’s musical director and harp maker, students will host a workshop for anyone interested in finding out more about the harp. No prior musical experience is needed, and the workshop offers a complete introduction to playing the harp for beginners. Participants will also receive their own Discovery 16 Harp, tuning key and coursebook to take home and keep. Harps and music will be sent out ahead of the course date.

The workshop costs £199 and further online lessons are available if folk are keen to continue learning.
