Join talented Orcadian fiddle-led band FARA for a homecoming concert in the islands.

Combining the talent of Orkney fiddlers and vocalists, Jeana Leslie, Catriona Price and Kristan Harvey, alongside Highland pianist Rory Matheson, FARA have become a focal point of the Scottish folk scene since they first formed at the 2014 Orkney Folk Festival.

Shortlisted in 2015’s Scots Trad Music Awards for Up and Coming Act of the Year, the band performed at the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards at the Albert Hall as Horizon Award nominees and have gone on to win a German Critics’ Choice Award and a Live Act of the Year nomination at 2019’s Scots Trad Music Awards. They continue to tour internationally, with sell-out performances at festivals across Europe, Australia and North America.

FARA will be supported by more local talent in the form of Erika Shearer and the Orkney Traditional Music Project, which has been a hotbed for Orcadian musicians over the years.

Tickets will be onsale from the FARA website from 10am on Friday 22 March.
