Sanday Heritage Centre displays some of Sanday's natural and man-made treasures and showcases some of the community's history. Only main exhibition and shop currently open.

Housed in the old Temperance Hall in Lady Village, the Sanday Heritage Centre has displays covering the island's heritage from prehistoric times through to the 20th century. Displays include farming, the sea, archaeology and a natural history section, as well as short term exhibits such as WW1.

The Horne Room houses a growing photographic and oral history archive, along with a reference library of books and written archives which could help visitors interested in researching family history, ancestry, and genealogy.

A gift shop stocks souvenirs (many locally made), postcards and a selection of Orcadian books.

Step back in time and visit 'The Croft' located next door to the Heritage Centre; a restored croft house furnished as it would have been approximately 100 years ago.

In the same field lies the reconstruction of a Bronze Age burnt mound. Originally exposed on the beach at Meur in the North End after a particularly rough storm in 2005, it was then repeatedly damaged by the action of the sea each winter, which led to the decision to move it to a safer location, with the assistance from the University of St Andrews, a drystone mason from Shetland and local volunteers.

Admission is free to all the heritage facilities but donations are appreciated to help with the running costs.
