New Orkney Visitor Guide for 2020 launched

Start planning your trip to Orkney with our new Visitor Guide.

The 2020 Orkney Visitor Guide, featuring all the information needed to plan a trip to our islands, is available now.

Copies of the 87 page brochure can be viewed and ordered online and can also be picked up at VisitScotland iCentres across the country. For the first time, copies of the guide will also be available in Landmark leaflet displays at their 228 sites in Scotland.

The guide is also handed out to prospective visitors and the travel trade at events and exhibitions throughout the year.

This year’s cover features an aerial shot of Westray’s Grobust beach by local photographer Colin Keldie to mark Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters in 2020.

The guide covers everything Orkney has to offer, from our amazing archaeological sites to our extensive wartime history. It also focuses on the rich culture, nature, food, drink and crafts available across the islands.

Local experts share some of their views on things to see and do in Orkney, and there is also plenty of information on getting around the islands, as well as extensive accommodation listings.
