Rousay|From £150 - £300 per week

Broland is a wonderful, traditional stone farm cottage that has been renovated this year to high modern standards to provide a cosy holiday home for 4, on the enchanting isle of Rousay known as the 'Egypt of the North'.

The cottage is nestled into the side of a hill and sits in it's own 55 acre farm with amazing views over rich green land and sea. Broland was, until recently a working sheep farm.

This fully refurbished home is full of it's original charm and character, but boasts the luxuries of a modern home with 2 bedrooms; 1 double and 1 twin. The bathroom features a large power shower, to help you relax at the end of a day's exploring and a heated towel rail to keep you cosy. The snug lounge has a wood-burning stove for those cooler evenings, perfect for snuggling up next to on comfy leather sofas. The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped and includes a ceramic hob, dishwasher and an espresso machine, for all your needs to make and enjoy some fantastic food. There is also plenty of off road parking right next to the cottage for your convenience.

Rousay has so much to offer - the land rich and alive, woven with history and adventure all in close range of your retreat. Explore Midhowe Broch, one of the most well preserved tombs of it's kind in Scotland where you can walk above the spectacular site; experience spectacular cliff and coastal walks with views stretching as far as the eye can see to the mainland and other isles. Get everything you need at the well-stocked local grocery shop 'Marion's'; go out for something to eat and drink at the Taversoe or Pier Restaurant. Whatever you choose to do on Rousay - Broland is idyllic.
