Brotchie and Hobbit House
Westray|From £300 per week
Brotchie is a wing of a lovingly restored Grade 2 listed Manse, built on a headland overlooking ten other islands.
King size fourposter in the bedroom up stairs and double cosy box bed in the sitting room downstairs, large wet room & kitchen, all with a warm flag floor from sustainable heating.
We are now green exporters to the Grid. Children and well behaved dogs very welcome. The Hobbit House gives clean, green, snug glamping in the enclosed garden. It is set into a wild flower bank, with a grass roof, a window and a port hole in the door, there are views across a long sandy beach, farm land and sea -safe, easy camping.
There are extra rooms in the Manse if needed, and with the Hobbit House it can sleep up to 13 people. The atmosphere is relaxed and comforting and each room has it's own character. Kids love this unconventional place with it's play nooks & Hobbit House while art exhibitions, cooking, poetry, metal work courses, venerably comfortable furniture and clean air are draw cards for parents. Westray is a "can do " place with lots going on, but there is also a deep silence and peace. It is friendly and relaxing, interesting and sustainable.
Please note you can also book £25 per person per night.
