Orphir|From £500 - £650 per week
Little Bu is a spacious, modern, Norwegian-style chalet set in a private location near the sea. It has a spectacular view of Scapa Flow and the Orphir hills, and is ideally situated for cliff-top walks and bird watching, and is minutes away from all of Orkney's main attractions.
Little Bu is the perfect destination for people who want to surround themselves with the sounds and beauty of nature, while civilisation is only 15 minutes away. The chalets are equipped to a very high standard throughout.
Little Bu is situated in the picturesque district of Orphir, midway between Orkney's two main settlements, Stromness and Kirkwall. There are regular bus routes to Kirkwall and all the amenities it boasts; such as many bars and restaurants, shops, a leisure centre with cinema, swimming pool and fitness suite, and a golf course.
In its peaceful and secluded ocean-side setting, Little Bu is the perfect destination for families, walkers and couples. A short stroll away are the ancient remains of St Nicholas Round Kirk - one of only four round churches in the country - which was built into the remains of an old Norse farm. Here, too, is the Orkneyinga Saga Centre, which provides fascinating insight into the rich Viking heritage of the area.
Ferries to the hauntingly beautiful and mysterious island of Hoy depart regularly from the Bay of Houton Pier (5 minutes away by car)
