Birsay|From £430 - £550 per week
Skesquoy is a delightful country cottage set in 90 acres of its own grounds. The unspoilt tranquillity of this corner of Orkney, along with the highest standard of accommodation, make Skesquoy a perfect base for your holiday.
Bordering an RSPB reserve, numerous trout lochs for keen fishers, and close to some of Orkney's many archaeological sites, you will enjoy a peaceful and comfortable break in Birsay which hosts some of the finest coastal walks on offer in Orkney. Located nearby there is a Co-operative store for anything you may require, an award winning local butcher as well as the Smithfield Hotel if you fancy a delicious evening meal or a drink in village of Dounby.
Skesquoy has two double and one twin bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining room with an open fire, and a sun lounge which overlooks the Loch of Hundaland. If you're looking for a country retreat with birdsong as some company, you will not be disappointed.
Please be aware before booking your holiday that part of the character and charm of Skesquoy is the characteristically low ceilings of the coomed attic bedrooms.
