Our cottage, The Puffin Quoy, provides a beautiful coastal location on the shores of Scapa Flow .We will tempt you to sit in the tranquil gardens (featured on BBC Beechgrove gardens and winner of Britain's Best Challenging Garden) and enjoy the Orkney sun. You can sit and look out to sea and watch the local fishing boats in the Bay of Houton, you can even do it from the luxurious comfort of our Finnish hot tub.

Quoy Cottages provide exceptional self catering accommodation all year round. When the weather is inclement you can cosy up in the deep comfortable sofas by a roaring log burning fire and perhaps do a little reading or research into the events that occurred in the bay right in front of you during World Wars 1 and 2.

The cottage offers the very latest smart televisions, Wi Fi and Blue Ray players.

Alternatively, you can relax in our whirl pool bath that have lighting to suit your mood.

The Puffin Quoy is a luxury retreat with stunning views, perfect for a couple wanting to escape from everything and enjoy some peace and quiet in beautiful Orkney.

The accommodation offers a large lounge with deep, comfy sofas, a log burning stove and fabulous sea views. There's a well equipped kitchen and dining area that leads into a kingsize bedroom with fantastic sea and garden views. The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom featuring a whirlpool bath with mood lighting.

The Puffin Quoy reached the finals of the 2014 Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards and has been recognised by the Sunday Times travel club as the best accomodation on Orkney.

We welcome dogs and well-behaved owners at the Puffin Quoy. Dogs are given a welcome pack of bed, bowl, towel and ball, plus a pack of Mr Wolfmeister treats. We even have a special sofa cover for our furry friends. Our extensive gardens and location on a quiet lane leading to the sea are ideal for walking your best friend.
