Gray’s was formerly an old coaching inn that was modernised in 1985 - the cottage retains the thick walls originally put into the But and Ben house that stood here previously.

The wooden extension was demolished but the outer old flag stones remain giving the cottage a real traditional feel.

The accommodation comprises of a kitchen/sitting room with 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom and bathroom with central heating and double glazing throughout to keep you warm during your stay. The Inn offers private parking and a green garden, and is set in a remote, rural location, perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all.

Stunning panoramic views over Scapa Flow can be seen from Gray's Inn; as is the Round Church located opposite the cottage. The cottage is ideally located for enthusiastic walkers offering several spectacular beach walks, and a rich abundance of wildlife can be seen and heard from your doorstep. There are regular bus routes that can take you to Kirkwall town centre and all its amenities including many restaurants, pubs, a leisure centre including a cinema and swimming pool, and transport links to the famous heritage sites showcasing Orkney's rich history.
