The latest exhibition from Móti, an Orkney-based collective of artists, will open at the Old Library Exhibition Room in Kirkwall this month.

'Of Land and Sea: Contemporary Interpretations of Orkney Folklore' brings together the latest work from Móti members, now in their fourth exhibition as a collective. Formed in 2016 by a group of Orkney-based art graduates, Móti provides a platform for its members to develop new work and to and establish themselves as artists with the mutual support and incentive of the group.

'Of Land and Sea' focuses on Orkney Folklore, a theme chosen by the collective. As a diverse group of artists and designers, their work encompasses a range of disciplines, from photography, painting and ceramics, to textiles, sculpture and installations. This exhibition will show a contemporary perspective with the artists’ individual works influenced by the fireside tales of Orkney's past.
