Join RSPB experts for a guided birdwatching session at one of Orkney's finest habitats.

The Loons hide in Birsay overlooks the Loons and Loch of Banks reserve - the largest remaining wetland in Orkney. There are large areas of open water surrounded by a mosaic of marshy grassland, swamp fen, mire and reedbeds, all dotted with smaller pools, making it the perfect place to spot wildfowl and waders.

An expert volunteer will be present between 10am and 1pm on Monday 29th April to offer hints and tips for a successful birdwatching session, including bird ID advice. The session is free, but donations are welcome.
