St Ninian's has a fascinating history in a beautiful situation at the Bay of Skaill, Deerness, and is on the road to the Mull Head nature reserve.

The present church building dates from 1796, when the previous twin towered c12th Century church nearby was replaced. In the Session Room, you can see one of the finest examples in Orkney of a hog backed tombstone dating back to the 11th Century".
