Our reputation is built on our commitment to using the finest local produce including beef, North Ronaldsay mutton, fish, shellfish, and much more. A menu of light, elegant, yet full of flavour dishes is accompanied by a 100-bin wine list offering the widest, highest quality choice in Orkney.

Along with food of exceptional quality, our restaurant offers stunning views across Kirkwall. After your meal, retire to our wood-panelled lounge to finish with a malt whisky. Relax beside the peat fire and choose a soothing dram from our extensive range - at the last count there was over 400, including many rare expressions of Highland Park, our closest neighbour.

As we have our own hotel doggo, Archie, who roams the hotel, we also welcome guests to bring their own dogs too. Dogs are welcome in all our bedrooms, lounge and bar area, with a one-off £15 charge. Only service dogs are allowed in the restaurant, however, if you’d like to dine with your dog, we can set up a table in our whisky room.

Daily lunches will be served from 12 pm - 1.30 pm and evening meals will be served every evening from 6 pm - last orders at 8.30 pm. Bookings are still advised as our restaurant can get very busy and we'd hate to disappoint by turning people away.
