Fernvalley is a wildlife centre that specialises in creating forever homes for abused, abandoned and surplus exotic animals. The majority of our animals are rescue and will stay with us for the enitrety of their lives. Open to the public throughout the year.

Opening times: SUMMER: (April-Sept) - Thurs-Mon 10am-4pm

WINTER: (Oct-March) - Fri, Sat and Sun 10am-4pm, last entry 3pm.

At Fernvalley, we specialise in offering a safe, loving, forever home to animals that have been abused or abandoned. We also take in surplus animals that are looking for new homes from zoos and wildlife centres.

As a result, we have a variety of animals here at the centre from geckos and snakes to mice, meerkats and ring-tailed lemur!

Many of our animals have come to us through various rescue centres across the UK and at Fernvalley we offer them a home for life.

We are proud to be the most northerly wildlife centre in the UK.

There are daily talks and meet and greet sessions on throughout the day giving you a chance to learn more about our unique animals, watch feeding and play times as well as the opportunity to meet one of our animals.

So come and take a walk on the wild side with us and get up close and personal with a snake, take the tunnel into our meerkat enclosure for a unique view of our three little troublemakers, watch our spiny mice as they explore their runs or simply enjoy a slice of homemade cake and a fresh coffee in our cosy, country tearoom.

Have fun and be inspired at Fernvalley Wildlife Centre!
